A picture of a man, running in the countryside

About

The Bronte Half Marathon is a new long distance trail run event in support of Sue Ryder and takes place in the heart of Bronte Country, between Haworth and Hebden Bridge.

For 18 years we have been holding the Bronte Mountain Bike event in this landscape and this year, whilst the signs are out, the feed stations are in position and the pie and peas are steaming at the finish, we thought it would be rude not to invite our running community to join in.

The event is a stand alone timed half marathon trail run, but for those who have friends who ride off road there is the potential option for an extra competitive element. Will the riders of the Charlotte bike challenge route be able to catch the half marathon runners in the last 5 miles to the finish, having done twice the distance on wheels?

All participants will receive pie and peas, plus a race memento at the finish.

Please note - The minimum age to participate is 16 years old. Anyone under 18 years old must have their entry form signed by a parent/guardian and must abide by the rules. It is each under 18 yr old's parents/guardians responsibility to ensure they or their children are suitability fit and healthy to take part in the event.

This is an outdoor multi-terrain course so please wear footwear and clothing suitable for the event
