A not-to-be missed night of hilarious comedy for the first time at Bradford Live.  Avalon are proud to present Bradford Live and Laughing. You can expect a side-splitting night from some of the UK's funniest comics. 

Headline act Phil Wang regularly performs stand-up to sell- out crowds around the world, he released his first Netflix special, Philly Philly Wang Wang, in 2021 and has since performed stand-up on Late Night with Seth Meyers (NBC), been interviewed by chat show royalty on That’s My Time with David Letterman (Netflix), and his first book Sidesplitter: How to be from Two Worlds at Once was named a Times and Sunday Times Book of the Year.

Your host Ed Gamble is an award-winning stand-up comedian, writer, and podcaster. You can hear him on the hit podcast Off Menu, he is the series nine champion of the award-winning TV show Taskmaster (Dave/Channel 4), or on one of his many appearances on satirical panel show Mock the Week. He is also a judge on BBC Two’s Great British Menu and co-host of a Radio X Show with Matthew Crosby. Most recently, he has been hosting The Traitors: Uncloaked (BBC2 and BBC Sounds).

Lou Sanders is one of Britain’s most original comedians. She co-hosts Mel Giedroyc’s Unforgivable (Dave), is a previous Taskmaster  (Dave/C4) champion, and most recently LOL: Last One Laughing on Amazon Prime.

Lucy Beaumont is a hugely talented stand-up, comedy actress and writer. She recently starred as one of the contestants on Series 16 of Taskmaster (Channel 4) and is also known for starring in and writing Meet the Richardsons (Dave). Her performance was nominated for Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme in the 2023 BAFTAs. The show won Best Comedy Programme at the Broadcast Digital Awards and has run for five series.

Local lad Jonny Pelham is one of the most exciting stand-up comedians on the circuit. Most recently Jonny has appeared on Rosie Jones’s Disability Comedy Extravaganza (UKTV)  as well as Live from the BBC (BBC3), Mock The Week (BBC2), Russell Howard’s stand-up Central (Comedy Central) and Live at the Apollo (BBC2).
