A Taste of Honey

About

A Taste of Honey was written by British dramatist Shelagh Delaney when she was just 19 years of age. It became a sensational theatrical hit when it was first performed in London in 1958 and was later made into a film. It is a powerful, comical, yet poignant play which is set in 1950s Salford and follows the gritty misfortune of a working-class single mother Helen and her rebellious teenage daughter Jo.
