Queen Elizabeth II has reigned for 70 years making 2022 her Platinum Jubilee year. To celebrate this historic milestone there will be an extended bank holiday weekend from the 2nd to 5th June 2022 with four days of public events and community activities.
In ‘Jadughor: The Magic Room’ (Gallery 6), come see the vintage televisions on display to learn about the televised broadcast of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953 and how it increased the number of television sets in households and popularised television watching.
