Details
The 2018 celebrations to mark 100 years since (some) women were first able to vote in the UK helped to focus attention on the representation of women artists in public art collections. Most have significantly less art by women than the do by men. Many are now actively promoting the display and purchase of work by living women artists in an attempt to redress the balance.
This exhibition of work from the public collections of Bradford and Oldham includes Arpana Caur, Emilie Taylor, Laura Ford, Aneela Majid, Kanak Chanpa Chakam, Kerry Jameson, Fareha Zeba, Josephine de Vasconcellos and J. Chuhan. In partnership with Gallery Oldham.
