A picture of organist Phil Kelsall at the Wurlitzer organ

About

Our April concert features Phil Kelsall MBE, principal resident organist at the Tower Ballroom Blackpool, celebrating his 50th year next year in that role at that iconic venue.

Phil Kelsall MBS is one of the most celebrated theatre organists of our time. Born in Warrington in 1956, Phil was inspired by the legendary Reginald Dixon and began his association with the Blackpool Tower Ballroom in 1975. Just two years later he was appointed principal organist - a position he has held ever since. Renowned for his dazzling Blackpool style of playing, Phil has become a household name through countless radio and T.V. appearances, including The Organist Entertains and Strictly Come Dancing.

With over 40 albums to his name and a global concert career spanning decades, Phil continues to captivate audiences with his unique blend of technical mastery and showmanship. His upcoming concert promises to be a spectacular showcase of the iconic 1935 Wurlitzer and a celebration of a remarkable musical legacy.
