Queen Victoria's Birthday.

About

Join us at the historic Shipley Glen Tramway for a lively Victorian‑themed celebration marking Queen Victoria’s birthday. Expect a street‑party atmosphere with activities, displays and plenty to explore as we celebrate over 130 years of local heritage.

The Shipley Glen Tramway is the oldest working cable‑hauled tramway in the UK, built in the late Victorian era to carry visitors up to the attractions on the Glen. Today it remains a much‑loved piece of living history, offering a unique glimpse into the leisure past of the area.
