The Snowman

About

The Snowman is a gentle, wordless animated short based on Raymond Briggs’ beloved children’s book. Set on a snowy Christmas Eve, the story follows a young boy who builds a snowman in his garden. That night, the snowman magically comes to life, and the two form a joyful friendship.

The snowman explores the boy’s house with childlike wonder, discovering everyday objects and playfully trying on clothes. As their bond grows, the snowman invites the boy on a breathtaking midnight adventure, soaring through the winter sky over glowing towns and countryside to the North Pole. There, they attend a festive gathering of snowmen and meet Father Christmas.

The enchanting journey is accompanied by the iconic song “Walking in the Air,” enhancing the film’s dreamlike quality. By morning, the magic fades with the rising sun, leaving the boy with a bittersweet memory of friendship, wonder, and the fleeting beauty of childhood imagination.
