Shakespeare in Love imagines a vibrant love story in 1590s London: a young William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) is blocked and struggling to finish his latest play… until he meets Viola de Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow), a noblewoman who becomes his muse, inspiration and secret lover. Their passionate, forbidden affair sets the stage for laughter, romance and, ultimately, the creation of Romeo and Juliet.
