CIRCULAR RAMBLE TO ROBERTS PARK AND BACK

About

Join us for a guided walk - CIRCULAR RAMBLE TO ROBERTS PARK AND BACK.

Meet walks leaders, Chris and Mervyn Flecknoe, at the Potted Meat Stick in the centre of Baildon at 10.00am for a 4.5 mile guided walk. We shall follow the paths along the top of Baildon Bank, to reach the descending track alongside the Shipley Glen Tramway. After entering Roberts Park, we will take a short break for a mid-morning drink (either bring your own drink and snack or purchase from the Half Moon Cafe). Our route then takes us along the riverside path, before commencing our return, with a gradual ascent back to the centre of Baildon, passing through Fairbank Woods (the former grounds of The Knoll mansion owned by a son of Sir Titus Salt). Anticipated return time 13.00. Please expect mud underfoot, even if it is not raining on the day. No stiles.

Our friendly walks leaders offer a warm welcome to walkers – from Baildon and from further afield. We aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable walking experience on all our guided walks.  Please come suitably dressed for the weather conditions on the day of the walk. Our walks-descriptions let you know the distance and terrain of each route in order to help you choose a walk that you will enjoy.  Our walks leaders are unable to provide first aid assistance or equipment on our walks. We ask that you bring with you any medicines or plasters that you might need.  We recommend that you keep a card with your name and address, an emergency contact (name and telephone number), and brief details of any medical conditions or allergies (that you would want emergency services to know about), in the top of your rucksack.  We cannot accept dogs other than assistance dogs on our walks.
