Haworth Moor

About

This free, 7.5-mile guided walk from Bingley to Haworth covers the final part of a glorious new Trail through Bradford District's National Nature Reserve. Get your boots on and join us on the last section of the Bradford Pennine Gateway Trail, guided by experienced, local walk leaders from West Yorkshire Long Distance Walkers Association. Take in a heady mix of woodlands, wetlands, quarries, open moors and sweeping views as you pass through three Nature Reserves: St Ives, Harden Moor and finally Penistone Hill - the iconic landscape that inspired the Brontë sisters.

This is a beautiful, but, at times, strenuous walk, so bring a packed lunch, plenty of water. Meet at the Butter Cross next to Bingley Arts Centre.
When the walk ends at Penistone Hill, it’s a short meander down hill to Haworth West Baptist Church where a warm welcome, and a warm drink awaits you. If you are new to Haworth, the village is a very special place to explore. We are offering a free mini-bus return trip to Bingley at 4pm.

This walk sets off at 10.30am and we anticipate it will take around 4 hours including a break. We’ve graded it as a moderate to difficult walk because it involves several ascents and descents on uneven terrain.
