Nicola is living proof that opera can be as warm as a hug, as joyful as a street corner serenade, and as personal as a favourite song. Born and raised in the north of England, Nicola discovered her voice thanks to the generosity of a stranger and never looked back. After formal training at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and ten years on the international stage with Glyndebourne, Dutch National Opera, and Opera Monte Carlo, she turned her talents to something closer to her heart: Singing for people

Her passion project, Opera for the People, brings world-class vocals to everyday spaces. With her “song menu” in hand, she invites audiences to choose what they want to hear; whether it’s Puccini, a musical theatre classic, or even a Pavarotti pop hit. It’s opera made approachable, heartfelt, and fun.
