Join Akeim, in this hands-on session, to develop your songwriting skills. Explore the use of rhythms, metaphors, and imagery to portray melodic narrative. Together, we’ll craft lyrics, melodies, and beats in this creative dive into Akeim’s latest project “Free” that explores the rebel roots and soulful mysticism of reggae. 

Akeim Toussaint Buck is a Jamaican-born, UK-raised interdisciplinary artist blending dance, poetry, film, beatbox, and storytelling to create powerful, accessible work. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Suitable for age 12+ 

BRAVE Festival is run by Swirl Education and supported using public funding by Arts Council England, Bradford 2025 and Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
