About

Enjoy long, lazy days of heritage travel this summer as the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway brings its much‑loved Summer Steam season back to the Worth Valley. Running throughout the holidays, this classic railway experience invites visitors to step aboard beautifully restored steam and heritage diesel trains for a five‑mile journey through some of Yorkshire’s most picturesque countryside.

With trains running between Keighley and Oxenhope, Summer Steam is perfect for family days out, nostalgic return visits, or relaxed weekend adventures. Each station along the line offers something different to explore — from historic goods yards and vintage waiting rooms to scenic walking routes and charming village stops.

You can make a full day of it by hopping on and off, discovering local cafés, independent shops and Brontë‑inspired landmarks along the way. Younger visitors will love the excitement of travelling behind a real steam engine, while railway enthusiasts can enjoy the sight, sound and atmosphere of classic locomotives working hard up the valley.
