Get ready to grow your reading adventure with Bradford Libraries’ Summer Reading Challenge! Open to children aged 4–12, this year’s theme is Story Garden, celebrating the outdoors with books, crafts, and creativity.
Children can register at any Bradford library to receive a free Story Garden folder filled with stickers, pop badges, and rewards. Read six books over the holidays to earn a certificate and medal (subject to availability).
The Story Garden Book Collection features inclusive, diverse titles—picture books, early readers, middle-grade fiction, poetry, and graphic novels—curated to inspire curiosity and a love of nature.

Craft sessions – flower bookmarks, junk modelling, wildflower seedling planting

Treasure hunts, street market, bear hunts – Holme Wood & Thornton Libraries
