About

Celebrate loved ones this October at Sue Ryder Starlight Hike Worth Valley. Walk 5k or 10k under the stars and raise funds, so more people can receive the expert end‑of‑life care and support they deserve.

Join us on a night‑time walk where hundreds of people come together to remember and celebrate loved ones, and raise vital funds for Sue Ryder.

Your evening begins aboard the magical Starlight Express train, kindly supported once again by Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, a truly unforgettable way to start a night of reflection, celebration and community.

Bright outfits, fancy dress and glow sticks are all encouraged. There will be pre-walk music and stalls to enjoy, with a warm-up and glitter station to get you ready for your walk. You’ll enjoy uplifting entertainment and stunning illuminated displays as you walk alongside hundreds of others, celebrating the lives of those we love and miss.

Passing through the peaceful grounds of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, you’ll have the chance to place a star in memory of those special to you.

Unfortunately, due to the uneven nature of the walk route, it is not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility vehicles. Pushchairs are permitted, but may struggle on parts of the route. However, we welcome all to enjoy the music and entertainment provided at the event site.
