About
"Palingenesis" refers to the concept of regeneration, drawing on biological, theological, political, and philosophical perspectives.
This piece, encourages people to rethink the existence of an individual and explore their own ideas about loneliness and self-identity.
Life is a cycle, from a hairless, fragile newborn to a robust adult, and finally to a frail, skeletal form. Initially inspired by the natural phenomenon of the “Rat King,” this performance reflects the increasing distance between people in contemporary society.
“Where are the limits of the body and the boundaries between life and death? This is what we seek to explore.” In this fast-paced era, finding oneself can be challenging. This piece, developed over four years, offers a reflective pace to ponder these themes.
Chuang stated, “Through this work, we hope the audience reflects on the cycles of life and the heights that the body, as a vessel for expression, can achieve.”
