Palingenesis had its West Yorkshire premiere as part of Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture and now returns, alongside D_Antidote’s newest show, Non-Ordinary Services.

“Palingenesis” refers to the concept of regeneration, drawing on biological, theological, political and philosophical perspectives.

What binds us together when everything else is pulling us apart? This stunning show encourages audiences to think about ideas of loneliness and self-identity – then reminds us how important connection truly feels.

Over four years in the making, the piece is a showcase of energy, expertise and incredible athleticism as the three dancers’ bodies seem to morph as they move through each other, around each other and as each other.

This show explores the strange, often invisible, links and systems that shape our relationships to each other. It asks timely questions about power, reliance and the ‘services’ we provide to each other.

The seven dancers in this show are almost acrobatic in the way they lift, intertwine, support and carry each other. The result is a series of images, movements and hypnotic sequences that are probably unlike anything you’ve seen before.
