OUR TURN: Bradford’s First Visual Arts Festival

“Bradford’s first ever visual arts festival will be a bold, experimental celebration of the district’s visual identity, designed and led by artists.”

Running from 18 September 2025 to 28 January 2026, OUR TURN is a major new visual arts festival that places Bradford’s artists at the centre of the city’s cultural moment. Timed to coincide with Bradford hosting the Turner Prize 2025, the festival positions the district in the global spotlight of the visual arts community.

Programme Overview The festival features a series of exhibitions, commissions, and showcases across multiple venues:

  • Practice Bradford Loading Bay, Bradford 18 September – 19 October 2025 | Launching the festival, this exhibition presents new work by four emerging Bradford artists.

  • Our Past, Present and Future South Square Centre, Thornton 10 October 2025 – 1 February 2026 | A look back—and forward—at Bradford’s radical art history and future.

  • Bradford Art Show  Loading Bay, Bradford 6 – 21 December ​| A dynamic exhibition of artwork from artists across Bradford responding to the theme of Our Place.

  • Bradford Print Collection A special collection of artwork representing the vibrant printmaking sector in Bradford. On display and sale at various locations and online throughout the festival programme.

  • Artist's Showcase Newly commissioned artwork from 14 exciting local artists. Displayed throughout the festival at various venues and unusual spaces across Bradford.

Festival Partners OUR TURN is delivered by South Square Centre in collaboration with Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, Yorkshire Contemporary, and Bradford Producing Hub, with support from Arts Council England and Yorkshire Visual Arts Network.
