About

The organ recital on Friday 7 November at 12.30 pm is Christopher Rathbone's 150th recital at St Margaret's! On this special occasion, and as part of Ilkley Arts Festival, he will play the brilliant Paean by Kenneth Leighton; two pieces he wrote in 2017, the Passacaglia and fugue op 135 and Fantasia on ‘Dancing Queen’ op 136 (apologies to Abba!); and a masterpiece by Bach, his monumental Prelude and fugue in E flat, whose fugue is commonly known as ‘the St Anne fugue’.  It has to go last as it’s so brilliant!  All are welcome to join us.
