Pioneers of British synth‑pop, OMD blended chart‑topping hits with bold experimentation across albums including Organisation (1980), Architecture and Morality (1981) and Dazzle Ships (1983). Tracks such as “Enola Gay”, “Maid of Orleans” and “Souvenir” defined the sound of the eighties, while “If You Leave” took the band to the top of the US charts via the Pretty in Pink soundtrack.

Following their 40th anniversary celebrations, OMD returned in 2023 with Bauhaus Staircase, their first studio album since 2017’s The Punishment of Luxury.
