Hall Royd Band

About

As part of the 2026 Music at the Museum season, this performance features Hall Royd Band, a long‑established community brass band from Shipley with a proud history stretching back more than eighty years.

The band began at Northcliffe Church, where local players first came together, and although those roots remain important, today’s members come from all walks of life and from across the wider community. Hall Royd Band continues to champion the tradition of brass band music in West Yorkshire, bringing together experienced players and newer musicians in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Their performances celebrate the warmth, heritage and unmistakable sound of a true community brass band. Cliffe Castle Museum looks forward to welcoming them for an afternoon of live music.
