About
Discover more about Morris & Co at Bradford Cathedral. The famous Victorian artist and designer William Morris founded Morris & Co., and, together with notable figures such as Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Edward Burne-Jones and Ford Madox Brown, created many remarkable pieces of stained glass. Early examples of their work can be seen in four locations throughout Bradford Cathedral. The collection also includes a figure recently identified as a design by William De Morgan.
The tour also features an appreciation of the magnificent West Window, a beautiful Pre‑Raphaelite work created by Heaton, Butler and Bayne.

Some of the stained glass is located in an area accessible only by ascending four steps.
Bradford Cathedral, largely built in the 15th century on a steep hillside, includes Victorian and 20th‑century additions that feature several sets of steps and narrow spaces that cannot accommodate ramps. The Cathedral team acknowledges these limitations and continues to work towards improving accessibility. Visitors with specific accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact maggie.myers@bradfordcathedral.org in advance.
