Ricky Balshaw

The a quick-witted, slow walking, fast rising star, Ricky Balshaw is without question the funniest Paralympic Dressage medalist in the UK, perhaps the world.

Stepping over his cerebral palsy like it’s the mildest of inconveniences, Ricky pulls his audience into a joyfully dark world of self-depricating hilarity. No sympathy vote is needed (or accepted) as Ricky dominates comedy stages up and down the UK. A brilliant joke-smith and storyteller, Ricky has comedy greatness in his bones.

Ricky has featured as an Awards and Competitions Finalist for Channel 4’s Sean Locke Bursary, Comedy Central, Sky Max’s Made in the 80’s and most notably, Channel 4’s coverage of the London, Rio and Tokyo Paralympics as a Pundit. Tours Ricky has supported include Jason Manford and Tom Stade.

Lou Conran

Lou is a critically acclaimed writer and stand-up comic who’s been performing over the last 15 years across the UK and Australia. Lou is a highly respected MC and set comedian, awarded the Best MC 2020/21 Comics Comic Award.

Lou has been Sarah Millican’s resident MC for her new material night “The Playground” since 2015 and has also supported Joe Lycett and Suzi Ruffell. Her 2017 Edinburgh Fringe show “I Love Lou C” brought her 5* critical acclaim when she documented her pregnancy, and the subsequent loss of her daughter at five and a half months pregnant.

The show went on to run at the Soho Theatre and in Australia. She’s since gone on to be an advocate of the charity Saying Goodbye (Mariposa Trust) and has raised nearly £22k for the charity, organising comedy nights and raising the charity’s profile.

Lou has featured at festivals including Latitude, Download, Kendal Calling, Wilderness and is best known as a regular presenter for BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club.
