Brontë Women's Writing Festival poster

About

The annual festival returns this September as we celebrate women writers across fiction, non-fiction, poetry and scripts! Whether you're into Gothic novels, historical fiction or folklore, we're putting women's stories at the centre.

The programme includes events with bestselling author and folklorist Sharon Blackie, playwright Miriam Battye, poet Emma Conally-Barklem and author Lauren Mooney. With talks, workshops and discussions exploring Gothic fiction, historical storytelling, nature writing and literary connections between Accra and Bradford, there's something for every book lover.
