Step behind the scenes at one of Bradford’s cultural and theatrical gems! Join us at the Bradford Playhouse for a day packed with history and fun for all ages.

Backstage Tours – Discover the secrets of our beautiful 1930s Art Deco theatre on one of our free guided tours (11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm). Go behind the curtain, explore newly upgraded areas, and hear stories from the Playhouse's colourful past. Free, but ticketed to manage numbers – booking advised!

Alfie Trail – Our friendly theatre dog Alfie has hidden himself around the building! Kids can follow his trail with a fun puzzle and colouring booklet – spot all ten Alfies and claim bragging rights.

Archive Displays – Take a walk through Playhouse history with an exhibition of photos, drawings, and posters from our archive, showcasing everything from our early days as Jowett Hall to the wartime years, legendary alumni like Esmé Church, and our latest restoration work.
