About
Bradford residents are warmly invited to come together and honour the men and women - past and present - who serve our country. The event offers everyone the chance to make a personal pledge of support to our Armed Forces community. The day will begin with a traditional Drum Head Service, followed by an official opening from the Lord Mayor of Bradford.
Visitors can enjoy a range of family-friendly activities, with stalls and exhibitors from across the district sharing our area’s heritage and showcasing the work being done to preserve the memory of those who have served, including contributions from our local Covenant Partnership. Young people can look forward to free activities such as a climbing wall and face painting and creative crafts, street entertainment, while military vehicles and other displays will offer a closer look at the equipment used by our Forces in the defence of our freedoms.
Cadets from all three services will be in attendance throughout the day, ready to speak with visitors about their experiences and the opportunities available to young people.
Live entertainment - including performances by a brass band - will take place across the event.
