Celebrate the richness, creativity and diversity of African culture at the Bradford African Festival of Arts (BAFA), a six-day programme of exhibitions, film, theatre, fashion, cultural experiences and community events taking place across Bradford.

The festival opens with a celebratory evening of culture, creativity and contemporary African art, including workshops and the Nkosoo exhibition exploring themes of advancement, transformation and cultural evolution.
4 August | 9am–8pm | African Film Festival | National Science and Media Museum
Enjoy a full day of African cinema featuring films, documentaries and stories from across the continent and diaspora.
5 August | 4pm–8pm | Theatre and Stage Play | Bradford Arts Centre
Experience live theatre, performance and storytelling that showcase the richness and diversity of African culture.
6 August | 4pm–8pm | Fashion and Pageantry | Darley Street, Bradford
Celebrate African fashion, beauty and creativity through workshops, showcases and cultural performances.
7–8 August | 9am–8pm | African Open Market & Outdoor Festival | Centenary Square & City Park, Bradford
Round off the festival with two days of vibrant market stalls, African food and drink, arts and crafts, live entertainment, cultural performances and family-friendly activities in the heart of Bradford.
