Back in the Pink – A joyful and radical celebration of Bradford’s LGBTQ+ heritage, co-produced by Bradford 2025 and Castles in the Sky Projects. This programme revives the spirit of the original Bradford in the Pink festivals from the 1980s, blending memory, activism, and community.

  • 8 September 2025 – Queer Places: Remembering the Junction Location: Bradford City Centre (exact venue TBC) Explore memories of the iconic city centre pub The Junction, a vital space for Bradford’s LGBTQ+ community. Cost: Free, no ticket required.

  • 10 October 2025 – Bradford LGBTQ+ History Walking Tour Location: Starting point in Bradford City Centre Led by Alice Parsons (Castles in the Sky Projects), this guided walk uncovers hidden stories and landmarks from Bradford’s queer past. Cost: £3.00

  • 10 & 12 October 2025 – OUT All Night Location: Pop-up exhibition space, Bradford City Centre A pop-up exhibition showcasing posters, flyers, and ephemera from Bradford’s LGBTQ+ nightlife history. Cost: Free, no ticket required.

  • 11 October 2025 – Big Nights OUT Location: Bradford City Centre (venue TBC) Discover how nightlife venues like Stars and The Bavaria fostered community, joy, and resistance. Cost: £4.

  • 11 October 2025 (Evening) – Pink After Dark Location: Bradford City Centre (venue TBC) A celebratory gathering honouring long-lost queer venues through storytelling, music, and visuals. Cost: Free

  • 12 October 2025 – Back in the Pink Cinema Special Location: Bradford City Centre (cinema venue TBC) Step back in time with recreated screenings from the 1980s, reviving the spirit of queer cinema in Bradford. Cost: On Sale Soon.
