Three apples in a row.

About

Celebrate the annual Apple Day at Bowling Community Orchard on Sunday 11 October 2026, from 12:00 to 16:00. This family-friendly event takes place in Bowling Park Allotments and celebrates apples, pears and native fruits while promoting food production, community cohesion, engagement with nature, education and entertainment.

Visitors can enjoy a packed programme of activities and attractions, including stalls, a café, organic apple sales, homemade chutneys, sauces and jams, home-baked cakes and treats, children's theatre, craft activities, seed sales, live music, and the opportunity to watch fresh apples being pressed using a traditional apple press.

Organised by BEES (Bradford Environmental Education Service), the event highlights the work of Bowling Community Orchard and encourages people to learn more about sustainable food growing, biodiversity and community-led environmental projects. The orchard provides an important green space for wildlife and local residents, and Apple Day offers a chance to discover its work while enjoying a fun autumn day out.
