About
A night of drama and intense passions as we explore the story of Romeo and Juliet and the piece it inspired - West Side Story. Full of jazzy latin vibes, the orchestra will have you itching to dance, with every orchestral and percussion instrument possible pulling at your heart strings. We will also perform the achingly beautiful, poignant and powerful 'Dance' by Anna Clyne. The solo part will be played by Adam Cathcart from the ASO cello section.
Performing:
Tchaikovsky: Romeo and Juliet overture
Clyne, Anna: Dance - featuring cellist Adam Cathcart
Bernstein: Symphonic Dances from West Side Story
