About

Independent Art Gallery in the heart of Thornton Village close to The Bronte House owned and run by Bradford artist/ printmaker Patrick Whitehead.

The gallery is housed in a beautifully preserved Grade II listed Victorian building which was originally a chemist and was in the same family for over 150 years – hence the gallery name – The Apothecary Gallery. The gallery holds regular exhibitions which change monthly and show the work by local artists and those from further afield. The gallery presents visual work of all different media including painting, prints and sculpture. The gallery also stocks a wide range of jewellery, small artefacts and greeting cards.
