Samuel Moore, Flamenco Landscapes

About

We are delighted to announce that the distinguished flamenco guitarist Samuel Moore will return to the Ilkley Manor House to present three concerts.

Please note that this concert was postponed from 14 July 2023

Concert Three – Flamenco Landscapes

The development of human culture is intrinsically linked to the geographical setting in which events take place. Over millennia, this has led to the growth of diverse civilizations across the globe, each shaped as much by their physical environments as by the work of pioneering individuals. The evolution of music is similarly geographically influenced and there is no finer example of this than the flamenco tradition and the vast number of palos (musical forms) that shape it.

In this solo concert the distinguished flamenco guitarist Samuel Moore presents a unique programme taking you on a musical journey to the many countries, regions and cities that have shaped flamenco evolution, from Spain, to the New World and even further afield.
