About
If you're a lover of the intricate and delicate art of needlework, you won't want to miss Tanya Bentham's exhibition of embroidery from the Middle Ages.
Tanya is an expert in this field and her speciality is Opus Anglicanum - a unique style of needlework that flourished in England during the 12th and 13th centuries.
Her workshops and exhibitions have been featured at prestigious events such as the University of Leeds International Medieval Congress and at Oxford's Ashmolean Museum, making this an opportunity not to be missed for anyone with an interest in medieval art and craftsmanship.
Many of Tanya's handmade creations will be on display, including female and male Labours of the Months, several framed works with modern themes, many of which are for sale, and an alphabet scroll which was on display at the Bodleian Library, Oxford. There will be greetings cards based on Tanya's work and DIY embroidery kits for sale.
