Jon Palmer Acoustic Band Playing instruments.

About

A high energy 6-piece folk, roots and rock & roll band based in West Yorkshire, they have been described as “a cross between The Pogues and The Oyster Band, with a bit of The Waterboys, The Saw Doctors and the Bruce Springsteen Seeger Sessions Band thrown in”.

Original material penned by Jon Palmer speaks to roots in the tradition as well as sharp edged commentary on the world today.

Accomplished musicians, the band are no strangers to the intimacy of a club setting, the warmth of a theatre or a full-blown festival stage. The band’s most recent album, ‘One Fine Day’ has received plaudits from fans and reviewers alike. Building on its success they are currently working with producer David Crickmore (Steve Tilston, Pete Coe) on a new recording set for release in early Summer 2023.
