Friends Of Ilkley Moor

About

A new exhibition looking at the work of The Friends Of Ilkley Moor.

The Friends of Ilkley Moor is a registered charity set up in 2008. Its objectives are in brief:

To work with Bradford MDC to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of the Moor, and

To promote the use of the Moor as an open space amenity for education, recreation and leisure time in the interests of social welfare.

Its activities extend from providing volunteer work parties to help maintain and restore footpaths on the Moor to providing guided walks and educational experience days for younger people. It also generates grant funding to supplement Bradford MDC’s Countryside Service activities as well as applying donations and membership fees contributed by its members.

Since its inception in 2008 it has delivered over £350,000 in terms of volunteer labour time and raised over £288,000 in grants and £83,000 in membership fees and donations.
