Folding Books Project

About

During early 2021 Deborah Rehmat, a local artist who has frequently worked with Cliffe Castle Museum and the Cliffe Castle Support Group started a project explored how the format of 'folding books' could inspire creativity. We’re delighted to be able to show our visitors the result of that creativity!

Each book on display has been created by folding either a page of paper to form the ‘leaves’ of the books – but how each participant uses the format and what size of paper differed. The result is a colourful, eclectic display of books encompassing poetry, sketching, painting and collage.

You can even pick up some premade templates from our family area to have a go yourself!
