Dear Earth

About

A space to reflect on our relationship with the natural world, in connection with the Earth Crises  of climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss through the writing of letters.

The climate crisis cannot be compartmentalized. It is happening right now and it affects us all. The suffering of humans and other than humans is happening right now due to the effects of manmade climate breakdown.

We need people to take action. Creativity can be an entry point into climate action. Expressing how we feel about the climate crisis and sharing that expression be it through a letter, a conversation, a poem or a painting…is taking action.

We want our exhibition to be an emergent and collaborative process with participation from our local communities and those who visit, so the material exhibited will evolve as the exhibition runs throughout September and October. There will be a letter-writing station and other opportunities for collaboration in this space.

Please come with an open mind and participate in whichever way suits you best. Read, write, observe, reflect, feel, connect, converse, create, appreciate…

All letters welcome: love letters, letters of grief, confessionals, worries, fears, hopes and dreams, possible futures.

We would also love it if you could bring a friend/ family member/ acquaintance who might not be particularly engaged with the climate crisis and see where it takes them !
