Being Human Festival

About

The University of Bradford is delighted to be a hub for the Being Human Festival 2022. Taking place from 10 - 19 November 2022, the festival celebrates humanities research and how it is relevant to the lives and interests of people across the UK.

Events will take place across the country but in Bradford, there will be a festival hub that will focus on the BBC centenary. Led by the University of Bradford, the BBC 100 Hub will highlight the way the BBC has had an impact on popular culture and everyday life and will also look at the technology and development of broadcasting in the future.

From discovering the secrets of film and television broadcasting in Shipley, exploring the culture of cars and their impact on our every day lives, to discussing how death is not always about sadness but a celebration of one's life. Join us as we host a variety of free events taking place throughout the City of Bradford.

The Being Human festival is the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 10–19 November 2022. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
