Portrait of Sharon Wright.

About

On the afternoon of Sunday 25th, journalist and author Sharon Wright, who began her career on the Keighley News, will update us all on her latest research on the incredible women who were pioneers at the birth of aviation. Her book The Lost History of the Lady Aeronauts tells their fascinating and inspiring story in an accessible and entertaining way. The highlight is bound to be Sharon’s new discoveries about the mysterious death of young balloonist Lily Cove who plunged to her death while performing at Haworth Gala in 1906.

Sharon will read from her book, answer questions and sign copies.
