‘Jadughor’ is the Bangla word for museum, and translates into English as ‘Magic Room’. At Cartwright Hall we have created our own magic room - a room of wonder and curiosity using objects from Bradford’s museum collections.

This brand new exhibition, co-curated with costume historian Dr Eleanor Houghton, places focus on some of the remarkable garments and accessories worn by Charlotte Brontë.

Haworth hosts one of the biggest and best 1940’s events in the UK. The village is transformed with decoration, stalls, dances and re-enactments along Main Street and the park.
