Summer Events

You might be wondering what to do with the kids over the long summer?

Keep the kids entertained at one of our museums, or take your pick of our favourite family-friendly events. For more inspiration, check out our full events listing of things to do to keep the kids busy all year round.

Whether you have a passion for films, gaming, photography or TV, there's lots on for families every weekend and throughout the school holidays at the National Media Museum.  Join the brand new experience for families In Your Face.  Be curious, explore unusual ideas together, and take part in fun challenges and experiments.
Sneaky Peeks

Sneaky Peeks are free self guided tours around Bradford City Hall that feature objects from the Bradford Museums and Galleries collection.  Come down to Bradford City Hall and take a sneak peek at some of the city’s treasures. You can also join in with the fun activities.

Vintage Tour Bus
Vintage Bus Tours around the Worth Valley have become as much a part of the Summer scene as steam trains.  Every day till the 4th September, Vintage Bus Tours will operate between Oxenhope, Haworth Village and Haworth Station.
Bradford Family Film Festival

Film fans are set for an exciting new addition to the summer events calendar – for all generations to enjoy- with the launch of the first Bradford Family Film Festival for summer 2016.

The Festival – run by Bradford UNESCO City of Film with partners from across the district – offers free and subsidized screenings, workshops and events in and around Bradford throughout the month of August.

Ilkley Summer Festival will be off with a bang on the first big weekend of August. Ilkley's favourite Dominic Halpin and the HoneyB's are back in town to star in the Cabaret on The Grove on August 6.
