A Grade II Listed Building standing within what was part of the Old East Riddlesden Hall Estate, The Airedale Heifer is a Former Barn evidence of which you can still see today in our L Shaped Building and Thick Wooden Beams.

The pub is named after the famous Airedale Heifer cow of the early 1800s which resided on the nearby East Riddlesden Hall Estate , The Cow is still on record as the heaviest cow in the UK it was said to have been 3.5 metres (over 11 feet) long and weighed more than a ton and became a much-visited local animal celebrity until its slaughter following a serious injury in 1830. 

In 2015 Bridgehouse Brewery took over the pub after a substantial investment and a total Refurbishment The Airedale Heifer was brought back to its former Glory, with the Addition of our Wire Sculpture outside crafted by artist Emma Stothard Bridgehouse Brewery Also Built there New Brew House in the Beer Garden!! so if your Like us and enjoy Good Food and Great Beer in a relaxed friendly atmosphere look no further you've found it...
