In October 1914, King George's 17 year old daughter Princess Mary launched the Christmas Gift Fund. The purpose was to provide every sailor and soldier fighting in the First World War with a gift from the nation on Christmas day 1914.

We are giving you the chance to make your own cardboard replica of the Princess Mary Gift Tin. What would you send to a sailor or soldier during the First World War?

All materials will be provided free of charge.

Donation boxes can be found throughout the museum and your contributions are always welcomed.
