About

Ilkley will be transformed into a sea of colour, music, street performers and a fabulous feel-good atmosphere when the Mardi Gras-themed parade comes to town on 6 May.

Ilkley Carnival is a not-for-profit event which invites people to the streets of Ilkley every May bank holiday for a fun family fiesta!

Ilkley Carnival 2024 starts at 11am on Monday 6 May with its spectacular parade beginning on The Grove and finishing at East Holmes Field showground which will be home to headline acts, a fun dog show, trade and charity stalls and a host of free children’s activities from the craft tent to Punch and Judy.

Whether you’re visiting Ilkley for the day or part of the neighborhood which makes this wonderful event the success it is today, Ilkley Carnival is a not-to-be-missed annual event which kickstarts a season of festivals and family celebrations in this wonderful town. With all profits made from ticket sales going back into the local community, Ilkley Carnival is so much more than a one-day festival – with your support and that of the teams of volunteers who make it happen, it’s an event that makes a difference to many lives all year, every year.
