Ilkley New Horizons Orchestra
"The Orchestra was founded in 1988 by Stanley Evans and others to provide opportunities for retired people to make music together. Stanley remained our conductor until his death in 2011. Starting with a handful of players of a very curious mix of instruments, the orchestra rapidly built up both its membership and its library of music. It now has between 40 and 50 members and a library of over 380 pieces."
"Ilkley Arts is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), which started out as Ilkley Art Trail in 2011.
Our mission is to support regional artists and to heighten the profile of visual arts in Ilkley all year round. We curate solo and group exhibitions and bring art to people socialising and going about their daily business, We aim to inspire and engage with people who might not normally enter a traditional gallery space."
