Details

David Hockney was born in Bradford in 1937. In time to celebrate his 80th birthday in 2017 we are creating a new permanent display of works by the internationally renowned artist at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery.

The Hockney Gallery will showcase Bradford’s unrivalled public collection of early work and provide an introduction to his life and art with a particular focus on Yorkshire and Bradford.

We will open with a big birthday party celebration and plan to arrange a number of events with Salts Mill, Saltaire who also celebrate their 30th birthday in 2017.
