A Century of Guiding - The Wharfedale Experience. 2010 sees the celebration of a century of fun, friendship and challenges for young women aged 5 to 25 in the UK. The rich and varied history of guiding in Wharfedale is displayed this summer at the Manor House Museum, Ilkley as part of a nationwide programme of events and activities. All branches of the Guiding Association are putting on events and displays in their localities in order that all their members can have a 'Mountain Top Moment'. The themes of the centenary are to push boundaries and create new challenges in order to remind members and the wider world of the original message of the Guides and their aspirations for the future.
