Yorkshire’s Spiciest Food Festival Celebrates Seven Years.
Yorkshire is once again to host its ‘spiciest food festival’ thanks to the World Curry Festival, which is returning to the region for a two week extravaganza. Between September 15 and September 29 the annual global food event will be celebrating its seventh anniversary at some unique venues across Bradford and Leeds.
The World Curry Festival is a vibrant, fun and fresh event that brings people together in celebration of their love of food, culture and entertainment. Traditionally held over a long weekend, the event has attracted a huge following since it was first established in Leeds in 2010. The festival now takes place in Yorkshire and Malaysia each year.
“The response to the World Curry Festival has been phenomenal,” says Founder Zulfi Karim, “the brand has grown from strength-to-strength, and is set to make Yorkshire a global curry destination. To celebrate seven years in Yorkshire, we wanted to open up the festival to as many people as possible, so we have created an extended programme, one that will run across Bradford and Leeds over fifteen days.”
With over 50 different events, 12 partner restaurants and a team of internationally renowned chefs on the menu, the festival is set to be bigger and better than ever before. There will be pop-up food and drink stalls in key city centre locations; a range of exhibitors from well-known household names to small niche brands; as well as masterclasses, food demonstrations and cookery classes.
