Come and explore the atmospheric rooms of the Bronte Parsonage by candlelight. Listen to the grandfather clock strike the hour and hear the creaks and sounds made by the historic house after dark. Residents of the Parsonage will share ghost stories and village superstitions - make sure you bring a grown-up to hold your hand!
Meanwhile, the Museum of Rail Travel at Ingrow yard will be lit by small machines and oil lamps for a Festival of Light. Both museums are taking part in the national Museums At Night event. Museums at Night makes you forget usual opening hours, all the action happens late-night in this series of one-off events.
Have a grand day out at the National Media Museum this October half term to celebrate Aardman Animations' 40th anniversary. There'll be very special talks, screenings, activities, and unique selfie opportunities with your favourite Aardman characters!
Look out for lots of fantastic family activities taking place in the district, for the Bradford Family Learning Festival 2016! This year’s Bradford Family Learning Festival invites you to come and discover yourself, with activities on the theme All About Me at various venues across the city.
Come and take part in Planet Me at the Impressions Gallery, Bradford. A digitally interactive storytelling workshop all about YOU. Inspired by the current exhibition Plant Yorkshire. Get creative using cartoons, speech bubbles, photographs and cut outs from magazines to tell your story.
Visit Bradford Museums for an exciting showcase of exhibitions. Our Hotpick! Beastly Machines at Bradford Industrial Museum a collection of mechanical sculptures by Derbyshire based artist Johnny White. The work is humorous and interactive and is influenced by current affairs, media stories and plays on words, all portrayed by a host of animals and mythical creatures.
The Big Draw 2016 Festival Join the fun at Bradford Industrial Museum, South Square - Thornton and Cartwright Hall #DrawingChangesLives beyond art. Sketch a Scientific theory, trace some Technology, etch like an Engineer or draw Mathematical equations with masking tape. The choice is yours!
Sunday 23rd October is Family Day at the Keighley & Worth Valley Beer Festival. Lots of steam trains and live music at Oxenhope Station. Plus Tall Paul will be performing his magical act for children and adults of all ages.
